The Pioneer has an an interesting lock, a sort of hybrid between a liner lock and frame lock - with the addition of aluminum bolsters. It's titanium liners are thick for a secure lockup and a lock bar insert is included to reduce wear and eliminate lock stick. This lock design gives the pioneer a premium feel and secure lock up at a price that's hard to pass up.
